Data Sources

SEZ Explorer combines identified documents from several source categories. A catalogue record does not verify every field; eligible field evidence is disclosed where available and gaps remain explicit.

Primary Government Sources

National authority registers, gazette notices, investment-promotion publications, and official zone documents are preferred where they are applicable to the field and period being evaluated. Official origin alone does not establish zone scope or current validity.

Multilateral Institutional Sources

Multilateral studies and policy documents can provide country context, definitions, or benchmarks. They are labelled by scope and are not silently presented as zone-specific observations.

AI-Enriched Data

AI-assisted discovery and extraction may create candidate observations from identified documents. It does not turn a missing source into evidence, and policy-failed candidates remain unavailable to the public value.

Corrections and Operator Submissions

Zone authorities and operators can submit corrections and supporting material. Identity and evidence are reviewed separately; a submission never self-publishes or automatically receives an authority classification.
